This sturdy and powerful house belongs to Mr. Imai Hisashi – the representative director of Sobokuya. It was designed and built by Sobokuya using the traditional Jikugumi timber framing method.
Inspired by the temples in Nara, the front wall of the house is made of bark of the Chinese parasol tree. The elegant and simple door reflects the style of the homeowner.
At first glance, the house may seem like it was built by an amateur, but everything has been meticulously calculated to the smallest detail, creating a warm atmosphere. This house can be considered the starting point of Sobokuya. It may not be a house for everyone, but those who love simple designs will surely love it.
Large windows help the house receive plenty of natural light. Every object in the house has been carefully selected by the homeowner.
The house is colored by time and when it accompanies your family, it will have a different color compared to new houses. We call it “The trace of memories”.
Being a companion to your family in building a home, raising children, watching them grow up, and growing old together is an honor for Sobokuya Vietnam.
